Novaleska, meaning "new luster" in Czech, was founded by Ms. Rebecca Horn to bring unique, exquisite crystal from the Bohemian region of the Czech Republic to the world market. Ms. Horn, a global corporate executive for over 20 years, has spent considerable time in Europe and Asia. In her travels, she has discovered numerous exquisite hand-crafted products that are virtually unavailable outside of their local region.

Committed to bringing these products to market and supporting the local designers and artists who make them, she is first offering crystal from the Czech Republic. Each year a new limited edition crystal piece will be offered. The design is commissioned by Novaleska with master glass designers and artists trained in the century-old tradition of Bohemian glassmaking. The Novaleska pieces are ideal for crystal collectors and those in pursuit of the perfect, luxurious gift.

Depending on the year offered, the pieces may be lead or lead-free and may present multiple techniques. These techniques include cutting, staining, etching, and painting. Net proceeds from the sales support the designer/artist and select charities. The charities chosen support the health and welfare of children, women, and the environment.
